Blacklist Ultimate splits Day 4 assignments in Garena Qualifiers

Blacklist International Ultimate split its two games on Day 4 of hostilities in the 2021 CODM World Championships: Garena Qualifiers on Sunday, October 10.

The Filipinos made quick work of the Malaysian team SEM9 via a 3-0 sweep in its first match but fell to Group B leaders DG Esports, 0-3, in the second game to split their schedule on the fourth day of the group stages.

Blacklist had a rousing start against SEM9 dismantling the Malaysian in Hardpoint Summit 150-50. Martin “Tin” Yap led the onslaught with a whopping 32 kills for the Filipinos.

Riding the Map 1 momentum, Blacklist showed no let-up in Search and Destroy as it clobbered SEM9, 6-2, in Crossfire.

Just like in the first map, the Filipinos had a rousing start scoring four straight points on the attacker side. SEM9 stole two points in between the switch but Blacklist closed it out in the next two games to take the victory.

In need of points to move up the standings, Blacklist made sure to get the full three points, annihilating the Malaysians, this time, in the Domination in Raid, 150-69. John Benedict “JaBen” Julio took the MVP honors with averages of 15 kills and two assists against nine deaths and a score of 1896.

The Filipinos, however, failed to sustain their impressive start and got dominated by Indonesian team DG Esports.

The Indonesians opened up the series with a 150-90 victory in the Hardpoint in Summit. DG was just too hot to handle for the Filipinos, following up its Map 1 performance with an impressive 6-0 victory in the Hardpoint in Raid.

Blacklist showed some life in Map 3 in hopes to salvage a point from the series but the Indonesians outgunned the Filipinos once more, scoring another 15-131 victory in the Domination in Standoff to complete the series sweep.

Blacklist now sit at the fourth spot of the standings in Group B with a 1-2 win-loss record which is good for four points.
