Team Malayang QC reveals economic recovery plan amid COVID-19 pandemic
Malayang Quezon City mayoral candidate Representative Mike Defensor unveiled on Sunday his party's three-way economic recovery plan against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Defensor said that the plan would cost at least P17 billion which includes three components.

According to his statement posted on Facebook, P3 billion will be allotted for the jobless, informal workers, medical frontliners, teachers, policemen, and public sector personnel.
Another P5 billion worth of tax and incentives will be given to businesses, especially small and medium-scale enterprises, while P9 billion will allotted for infrastructure, employment and pandemic response.
“That’s the initial amount of benefits city residents will get. It’s our way of giving back to them,” Defensor said.
“Our city has an unenviable record under the leadership of Mayor Joy Belmonte: it is always No. 1 - in terms of daily cases,” he added.
Defensor said that the current QC administration has failed to implement better response to the pandemic.
“Surely, there are better ways of doing or improving pandemic responses, which the city’s current leadership has failed to implement,” he added.
