Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Daniel Padilla, and Sarah Geronimo were among the big winners at the 12th Star Awards for Music during a virtual presentation broadcast over STV and RAD channels last Oct. 10.
Regine was named Female Recording Artist of the Year for the song "I Am Beautiful" and Female Concert Performer of the Year for her "Iconic" concert. Daniel was proclaimed Male Recording Artist of the Year for "Mabagal."
Sarah won Female Pop Artist of the Year for "Ang Tangi Kong Pangarap."
"Ang Himig Handog 2019" was named Album of the Year.
"Mabagal" by Moira Dela Torre and Daniel was awarded Song of the Year.
Kuh Ledesma was the recipient of the Pilita Corrales Lifetime Achievement Award, while Louie Ocampo received the Levi Celerio Lifetime Achievement Award.
Plaques of Appreciation were presented to Kuh, Christian Bautista, Jed Madela, Gerald Santos, Luke Mejares, Ima Castro, Jeric Gonzales, and Alden Richards for their participation in the PMPC benefit concert "Awit sa Pandemya."
Film Development Council of the Philippines Chairperson Liza Diño-Seguerra, David Fabros, and Rep. Alfred Vargas were also honored for their support to the PMPC event.
PMPC President Roldan Castro also thanked the FDCP, Director Pete Mariano, Frontrow, and Raymond Francisco.
Castro said that the 34th Star Awards for TV will be shown on RAD and STV Channels on Oct. 17, 6 pm.
