11 drug suspects nabbed; P1.7-M worth of shabu seized in Makati drug bust

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized P1.7 million worth of shabu following the arrest of 11 drug pushers in an entrapment operation on Saturday, Oct. 9 in Makati City.
PDEA Central Luzon Regional Director Bryan B Babang identified the suspects as Ma. Carmita Gonzales, 59, Emmie Leynes, 54, Rommel Muan Dupitis, 49, Erwin Lucero, 55, Rex Peterson, 22, Irene Bacolod, 36, Jehan San Juan, 40, Criseldo Gonzales, 64, Leah Perez, 41, Reyna Raeli, 47 and Jonathan Moras, 39.
The operation yielded more or less 250 grams of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia and marked money used by the undercover cover agent.
Babang said that the suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The PDEA Central Luzon chief cited the combined efforts of his office and the PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region (RO-NCR) in coordination with the local police. (Chito A. Chavez)
