'Fair' weather, isolated rain showers expected across PH this weekend

Most parts of the country will experience fair weather throughout the weekend apart from isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its weekly weather outlook.
From Friday until Sunday, Oct. 1 to 3, PAGASA said the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), a region where winds coming from the northern and southern hemispheres converge, will prevail over Mindanao.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair weather conditions except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening.
By Monday until Wednesday, Oct. 4 to 6, PAGASA said a low pressure area (LPA) will likely form within the ITCZ and may affect the Visayas and Mindanao.
Cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, and Southern Luzon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair weather conditions except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening.
By Thursday until Friday, Oct. 7 to 8, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may persist over Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan as the LPA will likely move towards the West Philippine Sea.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to have generally fair weather conditions except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms that usually occur in the afternoon or evening.
PAGASA said that there is a slim chance of tropical cyclone development throughout the forecast period.
However, this outlook will be updated if significant changes in the weather pattern occur, it added.
