BTS' Jin to sing main theme song of K-drama 'Jirisan'; first episode set on Oct. 23
K-pop superstars BTS member Jin will be singing the main theme song of the anticipated iQiyi Original K-series “Jirisan” starring Jun Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon.
It was announced on Oct. 1, AStory, the producer of the drama, and Most Contents, the theme song producer said, “The official soundtrack (OST) of the drama ‘Jirisan” sung by Jin is the main theme song and you can hear it from the middle of the drama, and we will announce the release schedule separately.”

Jin has given fans a lot of comfort and healing with his sincere voice with his solo songs “Epiphany,” “Moon” and Awake.”
“Jirisan” is considered as one of the most anticipated works in the second half of this year. It is written by Kim Eun-hee Kim, who wrote the Netflix 'Kingdom' series. It is directed by Lee Eung-bok of “Goblin” and “Sweet Home.”
Meanwhile, “Jirisan” revealed its main poster on Sept. 30, which depicts Jun Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon in the midst of snow looking out sternly around the mountains.
“Jirisan” tells the story of national park rangers who are responsible for search and rescue on Mount Jiri. Experienced ranger (played by Jun Ji-hyun) and rookie ranger (played by Ju Ji-hoon) are set to unravel the secrets of the peak.
To many Koreans, Jirisan is a source of comfort, and is the focus of the storyline where national park rangers will have to overcome trying challenges including floods, fires and rescue missions.
“We hope viewers will look forward to Jun Ji-hyun’s great presence on the grand stage of ‘Jirisan,’” said the production team behind the drama.
To Kim Eun-hee, Jirisan is a land of hope. Donghak religious followers in late Joseon periods and independent warriors during the Japanese colonial period both took refuge in this mountain. Even until now, many people still bring their heartbreaking stories to the mountain, and flee away from lonely and hopeless cities.
