Incumbent Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto bared on Saturday his reason why he decided to seek reelection in the 2022 polls.

“Our message is clear, nandito po kami para sa serbisyo sa bayan at wala na pong iba ( Our message is clear: we are here to serve the country, and nothing more),” Sotto said during the launching of Serbisyo sa Bayan Party (SBP) candidates in Gazebo Royale,Visayas ave. Quezon City

He said that they aim to raise public awareness and transform the political culture.

“Kung saan ang people’s participation ay binibigyan po nating halaga, kung saan ang good governance ang first priority natin at higit sa lahat kung saan ang Diyos ang gagabay sa atin sa lahat ng ating mga lakad dahil ang gusto natin magtanim ng ligaya sa bawat pamilya ng Lungsod Quezon (Where we value people’s participation, where good governance is our first priority above all, where God will lead us in all of our endeavors because we want to instill happiness in every family in Quezon City),” he added.

"Because this is the new leadership that we want to continue dito sa ating Lungsod Quezon at sana po magka-isa tayo dito sa hangarin natin to bring a positive change reformation and restoration to every Filipino family (Because this is the new leadership that we want to continue here in our City of Quezon and hopefully we will unite in our desire to bring a positive change, reformation, and restoration to every Filipino family)," the vice mayor explained.

Sotto filed his certificate of candidacy for vice mayor last Oct. 5.
