Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto introduced on Friday his lineup of 12 city councilors for the city’s first and second districts in the upcoming 2022 elections.
In a Facebook post, Sotto said the aspirants were screened extensively to become part of the “Giting ng Pasig” team.
The candidates in District 1 are Volta Delos Santos, Eric Gonzales, Kiko Rustia, Pao Santiago, Paul Senogat, and Simon Tantoco.
In District 2, the candidates are Buboy Agustin, Gab Bayan, Quin Cruz, Angelu De Leon, Maro Martires, and Corie Raymundo.
Sotto added that the candidates he chose for his lineup are the ones he thinks can help the city to be more developed, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Mga taong handang lumaban kasama natin tungo sa pangmatagalang pagbabago at inklusibong pag-unlad ng ating lungsod (These are the people who are willing to fight with us towards lasting change and inclusive development of our city),” he added.
Meanwhile, Sotto appealed to the public to give him partners that he could trust and help him intensify the reforms in the city.
“Ang hiling ko sa inyo, bigyan niyo ako ng mga kasanggang mapagkakatiwalaan natin. Yung hindi puwesto o pera ang habol, kundi yung magiging katuwang ko sa pagpapaigting ng mga reporma't pagbabago sa ating lungsod (I'm asking you to give me partners that we can trust -- people who are not after the position or money but will be my partners in intensifying reforms and changes in our city),” he said.
