Patrimonio, together with actress-singer Arci Muñoz, and veteran politicians Alma Moreno and Teri Onor, joined the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party last Sept. 30.

He was among the biggest PBA stars in the late 1980s to early '90s together with PBA teammate Jerry Codinera and Alaska's Jojo Lastimosa.

Patrimonio helped his Purefoods team (now the Magnolia Hotshpts) win six PBA titles that saw him win four coveted MVP plums. He’s tied for second with Ramon Fernandez for the most number of MVP awards.

He retired in 2004 and was among PBA's 25 Greatest Players. He was later inducted to the PBA Hall of Fame in 2011.

After his retirement, he was named team manager of the Magnolia.
