Three of the six former members of the K-pop girl group GFriend have formed a new group under a new management.
SinB, Eunha and Umji announced on Oct. 6 that they will be working together as a three-member group under Big Planet Made (BPM), a new entertainment company.

"We recently signed exclusive contracts with Eunha, SinB and Umji. They plan to carry out various activities as a three-member group," said BPM. "We will give our full support so that Eunha, SinB and Umji can be reborn as better artists. We ask for your continued support and love."
GFriend debuted in January 2015. On May 18 this year, fans were surprised when Source Music, their agency, announced the disbandment of GFriend.
“The exclusive artist contract with GFriend and Source Music will be concluded on May 22. After careful consideration and extensive discussion, GFriend and Source Music have come to an agreement to follow separate paths to continued growth,” said Source Music.
On Instagram, Eunha, SinB and Umji announced their new beginning under BPM.
“A lot of time has already passed. I'm sorry and grateful to the fans who waited for a long time. With SinB and Umji, I'm starting a new beginning at BPM Entertainment! Thank you for your continued support and love, and I want to repay you with good songs and good performances,” said Eunha.
According to SinB, “After a long deliberation, we started a new beginning at BPM Entertainment with Eunha and Umji. You must have been waiting for a long time but thank you so much for trusting and waiting. I'm excited and nervous at this moment of finding a new nest and spreading my wings, but I'll try to show you good music and various activities in the future. Please support and watch over us.”
“I came here to share good news with you as I have been looking and thinking about it for a long time. In the future, Eunha, SinB, and Umji will be working together as a three-member group at the new agency BPM Enter. There were various concerns, but now that many things have been sorted out and prepared, I am very much looking forward to the new activities. We are ready to be busy and have fun. We will work hard so please look forward to it and support us,” said Umji.
BPM did not announce the group name of the three but it filed an application last Oct. 1 to trademark the name “Viviz” with the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS).
The three other former members of GFriend previously signed up with different agencies.
Yerin joined Sublime Artist Agency while Sowon signed a contract with IOK Co. Yuju is now under Konnect Entertainment of Kang Daniel.
