A total of 59 schools has already been identified by the Department of Education (DepEd) to be included in the pilot implementation of limited face-to-face classes to start next month.
In a list released by DepEd to reporters on Wednesday, Oct. 6, there were 59 public schools that have so far passed the assessment conducted by the officials of the Department of Health (DOH).

As proposed by DepEd to President Duterte, there are 120 schools eyed for the pilot implementation of limited face-to-face classes in low risk areas.
DepEd said that there will be more schools included in the list once the officials of DOH completed the assessment. Based on the target of DepEd, 95 public elementary schools, five Senior High Schools and 20 private elementary schools will be included in the pilot run.
DepEd, on its Facebook page, also posted a list of the 59 identified schools.
These schools, DepEd said, were selected from 638 nominated schools for the pilot implementation of face-to-face classes that will begin on Nov. 15, 2021 based on the recommendation of the DOH to agency.
The selected schools, DepEd said, were thoroughly evaluated by the DOH Epidemiology Bureau and identified as minimal or low risk, based on the Alert Levels of the provinces, highly urbanized cities (HUCs), independent component cities (ICCs) and risk categories of the municipality and city.
Based on the list provided by DepEd, there are four (4) schools in Luzon, 15 schools in Visayas and 40 schools in Mindanao that are currently included in the list of schools approved to conduct limited face-to-face classes.
