Anakpawis Rep. Rafael "Paeng" Mariano, who was the first Agrarian Reform Secretary of the Duterte administration, vowed to advocate for genuine agrarian reform and repeal of rice tariffication law.

"Libreng pamahagi ng lupa para sa ating magsasaka, sapat at nakabubuhay na sahod para sa ating manggagawa sa publiko at pribadong sektor, sapat at permanenteng trabaho, at maayos at disenteng paninirahan para sa ating maralita, at pagtataguyod ng mga demokratikong karapatan (Free land distribution for our farmers, adequate and living wages for our workers in the public and private sectors, permanent employment, decent housing for the poor, and promotion of democratic rights)," Mariano said.

Mariano also promised to push for a P750 across the board minimum wage for workers nationwide, cash aid for poor Filipinos affected by COVID-19, and production subsidy for farmers and fishers.

He said he will push for the resumption of peace negotiations between the Philippine government and communist fighters to address the root cause of armed conflict.

Duterte terminated the peace talks in 2018.

Anakpawis does not have a representative in the present 18th Congress. The group secured partylist seats since its first ran from 2004 to 2019.
