Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año said on Monday night, Oct 4, that the cash aid (ayuda) distribution for the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) beneficiaries in Laguna is 100 percent complete.
He added that the distribution in Bataan now is 97.95 percent complete.
In a briefing with the President, Año said that P2.7 billion ayuda was received by a total of 2,714,966 Laguna recipients with no funds returned to the Bureau of Treasury as all of the financial assistance were given to the qualified low-income individuals.
He noted that 683,919 beneficiaries were given monetary aid for a 97.95 percent distribution rate adding that the payout is expected to be completed within the week.
Meanwhile, Año noted that the Department of information and Communication Technology (DICT) recently launched the online application platform known as VAXCERT PH or vaccination certification Philippines.
Based on the compliance monitoring of the local government units (LGUs), Año reported that 368,386 individuals have applied with 232,289 persons receiving their vaccination certificates for a 63.06 percentage.
The DILG chief disclosed that applying for the vaccination certificate is free of charge whether it is coursed through online or in the satellite registration booths of the LGUs.
Año stressed that fully vaccinated persons can easily register to the VAXCERT PH which can be done online through the website vaxcert.doh.gov.ph where the instructions are clearly stated in order to get the “Quick Response (QR) code.’’
He reminded the applicants to bring their LGU vaccine cards and government issued identification cards (ID) when applying in the satellite booths of the barangay, city or municipality.
“Eto po ay mas madali po nating makukuha ang ating mga (vaccination) certificate na magagamit natin kahit tayo ay magbyahe lokal man o sa international (This is the easiest way to get the certificates which we can use even in domestic or international travels),’’ Año said. (Chito A. Chavez)
