"Mag-judge din kayo! (Serve as judges, too!)."
This was how Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque responded to those who said that his question at the Miss World Philippines competition over the weekend was misogynistic, saying the people can think whatever they want.
Roque made the statement after Filipinos online slammed him for asking a contestant what advice can she give to a woman with young kids if she wants to run for president.
In his press briefing on Monday, October 4, Roque defended himself from critics who thought his question was misogynistic.
"OA po yun na misogynistic yun (Saying it was misogynistic is too much). That's a valid question," he said.
"If you disagree, you are entitled to your opinion," he added.
"Mag-judge din kayo (Serve as a judge, too)!" he continued.
This was Roque's second time judging a beauty pageant while he is serving as President Duterte's spokesman. He first served as a judge in last year's Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
