She may have stumbled on her walk twice, but Tracy is definitely a stunner in that Pablo Mendez III creation
October is off to a beautiful start with the coronation of Miss World Philippines 2021 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021. After being postponed many times, the prestigious pageant finally has its new queens: Miss Eco Philippines Kathleen Paton, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Emmanuelle Vera, Miss Tourism Philippines Trisha Martinez, Miss Environment Philippines Michelle Arceo, Miss Multinational Philippines Shaila Rebortera, Miss Eco Teen Philippines Tatyana Austria, and, of course, Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez.
With the pageant lasting for almost seven hours, it was becoming a great challenge for the candidates to remain poised throughout the event, that some had little stumbles on stage, which includes the newly crowned Miss World Philippines. In fact, she tripped not just once but twice.

I hope she’s okay.

But, just like a true queen, the industrial engineer from Cebu stood proud and tall every time she fell down. Adding to the beauty of the moment was her enchanting dress by Filipino designer Pablo Mendez III. According to him, a magenta rosary was the inspiration behind the evening gown.
“She wanted from the very start a magenta color for her evening gown, same color with the rosary,” he tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “She knew what she wanted from the very beginning. She wanted a fully beaded, well-detailed and will enhance her figure and proportion and will accentuate her personality.”
The conceptualization of the dress, from the silhouette and details to texture, started around December last year right after Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Notably, Tracy represented Cebu City in the debut pageant of Miss Universe Philippines, where she was included in the top 16 picks.
When asked what makes Tracy the perfect Filipino representative to Miss World 2021, the designer says, “So much deserving! focused, driven, humble, down to earth, gracious, and well-mannered. She has a kind soul and a beautiful heart that radiates through her personality and attitude. An epitome of what a Miss World should be.”
Tracy is set to represent the Philippines at the 70th edition of Miss World in Puerto Rico in December 2021.
