Malabon City Mayor Antolin "Lenlen" Oreta III said on Sunday, Oct. 3, that he will no longer run for any position in the coming 2022 elections.
This after his brother, Jose Lorenzo Oreta, filed his certificate of candidacy as the city's mayor at the Barangay Catman Multipurpose hall on the same day.
Oreta said he will be a private citizen but is willing to help his brother by sharing his knowledge and experience in leadership.
"Definitely I'll be a private citizen, but definitely I'll be also here for my brother," he said in an interview with GMA News.
Oreta assumed office in 2012 and served as the mayor of Malabon for three terms. (Aaron Dioquno)
