Juan Gomez de Liano saw limited action in his B.League second division debut Saturday, Oct. 2 that saw Earthfriends Tokyo Z suffer an 89-82 road defeat to the Kagawa Five Arrows.

Gomez De Liano, still bothered by an injury, played 3 1/2 minutes and scored a layup during the second quarter before spending the rest of the game on the bench.

The former University of the Philippines star also added an assist and a steal during his short appearance.

He was the only Filipino player in the second-tier competition to suit up with Kemark Carino of the Aomori Wat’s missing this weekend’s two matches as he’s still under a mandatory quarantine period for players who arrived in Japan recently.

Tokyo Z tried to mount a comeback from 10 points down in the fourth but the Five Arrows sustained their lead till the end to secure the victory.

Australian center Angus Brandt was among those who gave problems for Tokyo Z as he led Kagawa with 26 points and six rebounds.

Marc Norelia had 23 points and nine rebounds for Tokyo Z in a losing effort.
