Baliuag Mayor Estrella, councilors seek reelection

In order to sustain their services and projects in the municipality of Baliuag, Mayor Ferdie V. Estrella and his councilors filed on Friday (Oct. 1) their respective Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) at the Baliuag Commission on Elections (Comelec) office.

Mayor Estrella filed his COC along with re-electionist councilors Tony Patawaran, Noel Tagle, Kenneth Cruz, Ogie Baltazar, Mabelle Pascual, Manny Balicanta, Joel Pascual; and Bang Imperial, former village councilor of Barangay Sto Cristo.

In an interview on Facebook live, Estrella and his councilors vowed to continue their legacy in serving the Baliwagenous with a big heart.

Estrella, the first local official infected with COVID-19 in the province of Bulacan, vowed to continue helping Baliwagenous in this time of pandemic.

He said the attack of COVID-19 greatly distressed many people, poor and rich.

"Marami ang nawalan ng hanapbuhay, sobrang hirap, at marami na ang nangamatay," (Many has lost their jobs and many lives were lost)," Estrella added.
