Ang Probinsyano party-list seeks second term in Congress

Ang Probinsyano Party List (APPL) formally made public its bid for a second term in the House of Representatives as it filed its certificate of candidacy (COC) Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Harbor Garden Tent of Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City.

APPL election lawyer George Garcia filed the COC on behalf of the party-List, with the official announcement that the list of nominees will be Rep. Alfred Delos Santos, Carolyn Lapid, Edward Delos Santos, Michael Chua and Jay Dela Cuesta.

“It has been a very fruitful and most rewarding two years for Ang Probinsyano Party List. Hindi po namin sinayang ang mga boto niyo sa unang pagkakataon naming magsilbi sa bayan (We did not waste your votes on our first opportunity to serve the country),” said Delos Santos.

He added: “Mula sa mga makabuluhang batas, hanggang sa mga proyekto at programa para maibsan ang mga problema sa ka-Maynilaan at malalayong probinsya. Pinanindigan po namin ang aming tungkulin na maging tunay na representative ng mga probinsyano.”

(From meaningful laws, to projects and programs that address the problems in Metro Manila and far-flung provinces. We were able to do our mandate to be the genuine representative of the ‘probinsyano’)

“Ang mga darating na taon ay mas lalong magiging challenging para sa susunod na gobyerno, kaya nais naming ipagpatuloy na tumulong sa economic and health rehabilitation mula sa mga challenges nitong pandemya,” he said.

(The coming years will be more challenging for the next government, so we want to continue to help with the economic and health rehabilitation from the challenges created by the pandemic)
