LeBron, Mbappé join forces for 'The Chosen 2' pack

NBA superstar LeBron James and football icon Kylian Mbappé have joined forces for Nike's "The Chosen 2" collaboration project.

The pack highlights a LeBron 18 basketball shoes and a Mercurial Mbappé football boot clad in colors black, purple and orange.

This as Nike pays homage to its two biggest brand ambassadors behind the idea of their success as sportsmen and the impact they make on the next generation of athletes.

The respective logos of James and Mbappé and double Nike swooshes are also imprinted on both pairs of shoes.

"LeBron is a unique champion and I have the deepest respect for him on, but also off the court. He is an inspiration to me," said the Paris Saint-Germain forward in an article by HYPEBEAST.

"From Akron to Paris, we are both taking action to move the lines in our society and offer a better world to the younger generation. I truly hope our common message will have a strong social impact and this is just the beginning of our stories."

James echoed Mbappé's sentiments, vowing to always use his platforms to empower the youth.

"It’s about creating real, tangible change, and always leaving a place better than you found it," said the Los Angeles Lakers star.

Nike has also extended a helping hand to Mbappé's donation IBKM (Inspired by Kylian Mbappé) and the LeBron James Family Foundation.

The two global sports heroes also swapped profile pictures on Instagram upon the project's announcement.

"The Chosen 2" pack is set to launch worldwide on January 9 and will be available for Nike Members and as a House of Innovation Paris-exclusive on January 7, per Sneaker News.
