IN PHOTOS: Pia Wurtzbach dazzles on 9 magazine covers

A first for her career in front of the camera, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach graces not one but nine print covers for the January 2021 issue of Dubai's Xpedition Middle East Magazine's with the theme "Braving New Horizons." The sixth year special edition of the luxury and lifestyle title promises to show the beauty queen like we've never seen before.

The shoot for the covers took three days to finish, and was done in different parts of the country, from its towering terrains and -6Â° ice lounge to the brightest spots of Old Dubai. "I've never done a cover shoot this big," Pia posted on Instagram. "Love all the looks that we did, too! They're so differentâ€¦ It's not something people are used to seeing me in but that's why I love it!"

What's not new is seeing Pia dressed in the best works of international Filipino designers. For the covers, she wore pieces from the houses of Filipino couturiers Furne One and Ezra Santos. Among the covers is an homage to Pia's 2015 victory with an Albert Andrada dress in her signature blue color.Â

"I love it when I get to express myself in photographs. In this case, I get to express my love for fashion and creativity," Pia said. "Whenever I step in during a shoot, I see myself not as a beauty queen but as a blank canvas."
