'We are proud'— says newly engaged Morente and Panaga

Volleyball couple Jeanette Panaga and Michelle Morente welcomed 2021 with a bang after getting engaged on New Year's eve.

With a ring in hand and one knee on the floor, Panaga popped the question to two-year girlfriend Morente, and she got the answer she wanted.

The volleyball players shared the milestone in their relationship on their respective social media accounts.

"We are proud," Morente wrote on Twitter.

Panaga then wrote “My 2020” on her account.

It was in 2019 when the two started sharing photos of them together on social media. In one post, Morente wrote: "Never thought you'd be the one who will make me happy. I love you, Pangs."

Panaga, 22, plays as a middle blocker for Petro Gazz in the Premier Volleyball League while Morente, 25, is with the F2 Logistics in the Philippine Superliga.
