Stephen Curry's 62-point game gets applause from fellow NBA stars

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry proved to the world why he's arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history.

Curry posted a career-high 62 points as the Warriors routed the Portland Trail Blazers, 137-122, Sunday night (Saturday, Manila time).

Even Portland's Damian Lillard could not help but to give Curry due credit despite the defeat.

"You can't dish it out and not be able to take it," said Lillard with the hashtag #Respect, quoting a clip of them having a short exchange post-game.

Klay Thompson welcomed Curry to the Warriors' exclusive 60-point club while former teammate Andre Iguodala was ecstatic with the achievement.

Atlanta's Trae Young found "no lies" with a quoted a tweet of Curry transforming into a "Super Saiyan" as Cleveland's Kevin Love and Utah's Donovan Mitchell also had the same hype for the two-time Most Valuable Player.

Former Heat star Dwyane Wade compared Curry to the awakened "The Undertaker" while Lakers legend Magic Johnson also lauded Curry's performance.

"STILL proving he’s the greatest shooter we’ve ever seen and MVP candidate along with LeBron , AD (Anthony Davis), KD (Kevin Durant), Kyrie , Luka Doncic, Kawhi , and Giannis !" tweeted Johnson.

Curry finished 18-for 31 from the field, including 8-for-16 from beyond the arc, 18-of-19 from the charity stripes and added five rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes of play.

Per Elias Sports Bureau, Curry became the first player to score at least 30 points in each half of a game since late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant did in 2005 and also joined "Pistol" Pete Maravich of then New Orleans Jazz to score "more than" 30 points in each half of the game.

The 32-year-old Curry is also the latest member of the Warriors to join the 60-point club with Thompson (2016), Rick Barry (1974), Wilt Chamberlain (1961), and Joe Fulks (1949), per Warriors Wire
