Pregnant influencer Emily Mitchell suddenly passes away at 36

Parenting blogger Emily Mitchell, who was expecting her fifth child, died unexpectedly three days before Christmas, her family confirmed.

The 36-year-old US-based blogger ran the Hidden Way Instagram account, where she talked about raising four young children.

Her family said Mitchell was eating breakfast on Dec. 22 when she "became unresponsive."

"Em was having her morning coffee and toast when she suddenly became unresponsive," a message said on a fundraising website for the family. "Despite the prompt attention of her children, husband, father, and other medical personnel, all valiant efforts to resuscitate were unsuccessful. She went home to be with the Lord."

Doctors, according to the website, have yet to determine a cause of death. "The doctors are still working on answers for her family. We will update everyone with answers when we get them," it said.

Mitchell was 16 weeks pregnant, according to her blog.
