Garcia wants to fight Davis, then Pacquiao next

Undefeated lightweight champion Ryan Garcia has plenty of fights lined up for himself should 2021 allow things to go his way.

Garcia is eyeing the likes of Gervonta Davis, Devin Haney, Teófimo López , and no less than Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.

In an interview with DAZN Boxing ahead of his fight with Luke Campbell Saturday (Sunday, Manila time), the 22-year-old Garcia reiterated his desire to fight Pacquiao.

"My dream is I beat Tank Davis, and then I end up getting a chance to fight Manny Pacquiao before he gets to go," said Garcia, who knocked out Campbell in the seventh round to capture the interim WBC lightweight belt. "Because he's one of my idols. He's one of the people I look up to.

"I think he's the last great legend, y'know, after Muhammad Ali, I think he's one of those," said Garcia.

Be it a bout in the super lightweight (140 lbs) or welterweight (147 lbs), Garcia is good to go as long as he steps inside the ring with Pacquiao.

Whoever emerge as the winner between Haney and Lopez is also one of the routes for Garcia

"The reason I'm saying Devin Haney last is because he's my friend," added Garcia, who holds a 21-0 record with 18 KOs.

Garcia isn't the only one who wants to lock horns with Pacquiao though since WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford also wants a piece of it after defeating Kell Brook last November.

Now, it all boils down to the ultimate decision of the eight-division world boxing champion.
