Team Lakay donates rice to fellow Igorots on holiday season

Team Lakay donates rice to fellow Igorots on holiday season

Members of the Team Lakay have launched a rice donation drive over the holiday season to fellow Igorots in Benguet.

Team Lakay founder and coach Mark Sangiao led the project for different beneficiaries in Atok and Itogon, east of La Trinidad where the Central Gym is located.

At least 10 sacks of rice were given to Bethesda Children's Home in Itogon while Team Lakay conducted door-to-door donations on the mountains of Caliking, Atok for victims of strokes and residents of distant areas.

In San Fernando, La Union, where another gym branch stands, Team Lakay also extended help to another orphanage called Christian Praise Fellowship.

"Our advocacy is to give back, and this is the end of the year and this is again our chance to help,” said Sangiao.

“To these youths, to the people around especially that we all know, they came from all the hardships. This is one of the things that the team are joyous of doing. This is the reason why we did a donation drive. To close the year, this is "

Team Lakay has been constantly providing goods for the needed and just last September, the Igorot warriors went to Balacbac, Baguio City for a rice donation project for persons with disabilities (PWDs).
