Korean actor Lee Jong-suk completes his military service: 'I'm back'

Korean actor Lee Jong-suk has been discharged from his military service and is raring to resume his career.

The 31-year-old actor completed his alternative military service as a public service worker on Jan. 2. He greeted fans by posting photos on Instagram with the caption “I’m back.”

He enlisted in the military on March 8, 2019. He suffered a ruptured ligament in a car accident when he was 16, before his debut as an actor, and was judged to fulfill his military service as a public service worker.

Lee Jong-suk will be appearing in the movie “Witch: Part 2,” a sequel to the 2018 film “'The Witch: Part 1 - The Subversion." He was supposed to appear in the original film but it was scrapped due to his military enlistment.

He debuted as an actor in the drama “Prosecutor Princess” in 2010 and celebrated his tenth anniversary in showbiz on March 31, 2020, which was the date of the first episode of the drama ten years ago.

Lee Jong-suk’s drama credits include “School 2013,” “I Can Hear Your Voice,” “Doctor Stranger,” “While You Were Sleeping” and “Romance Is a Bonus Book,” in 2019, which was his last project before enlisting in the military.
