The country's one and only superstar Nora Aunor is set to start a new career portraying the role of a “Kontrabida” in a new movie to be produced by Joed Serrano.

“Siyempre po excited ako dahil sa ngayon lang ako gagawa ng ganitong klaseng pelikula at isang malaking oportunidad sa akin na maibigay ang lead role sa pelikula,” said Nora, 67, during the story conference at Anabel’s Restaurant in Quezon Jan. 21. “Hindi ako nag-dalawang-isip."

Nora said she is both excited and nervous for the project. "Kabado ako siyempre, ‘no. Ang gagaling ng mga artistang ‘yan. Ilang beses ko nang nakasama sa pelikula, sa teleserye. Si Kuya Bembol , talagang magaling. Si Osang , magaling. Siyempre si Jane , magaling. Kinakabahan ako, bakit? Sa totoo lang, kinakabahan ako.''

A memorabilia restaurant for Ate Guy will also be opened.

“Kasi nasabi sa ‘kin, Ate Guy, na sa dami ng awards at memorabilia mo, hindi na kasya sa bahay,” Serrano said. "So, nag-offer ako na gawa tayo ng isang restaurant. Ang pangalan nung restaurant, 'Superstar.'

He referred to Hard Rock Cafe, a chain of themed restaurants holding rock and roll memorabilia, as his inspiration.

Aiana Juarez, OPMs latest online singing sensation, formally kicked-off the first quarter of 2021 with the official digital release of her newest single titled “Simula Muli (Start Over).”

The song is the official Filipino version of “Start Over” which is originally recorded by South Korean singer Gaho as part of the soundtrack of the hugely popular 2020 South Korean television series Itaewon Class, that stars four of the country’s biggest stars such as Park Seo-joon, Kim Da-mi, Yoo Jae-myung, and Kwon Nara.

With 55 million views on YouTube and 14 million streams on Spotify, “Start Over” is one of the biggest and most successful singles released in Asia in 2020.

South Korea’s Mapiacompany selected 30 artists from around the world to record their versions of “Start Over” in their own languages and Cebu-based singer Aiana was chosen to translate and record a Filipino version of “Start Over,” which was arranged by KT-P who is one of the most legendary pop composers in the history of South Korean music.

“I am a huge fan of South Korean pop music and I am very grateful for this fantastic opportunity,” said Aiana. “This is a wonderful way to start jumpstart 2021. I’m honored to represent the Philippines in this project and I thank Mapiacompany for their trust and I sincerely hope that fans will continue to support me with the release of my latest single.”
