Will Arjo Atayde run for public office?

A recent Instagram post by veteran talk show host Lolit Solis might have shed some light on the subject.

Lolit wrote: "Magugulo ako Salve pag natuloy iyon mga balita na papasok sa pulitika si Arjo Atayde. Kasi ang balita sa 5th district siya baka tumakbong congressman , eh friend ko si Sylvia Sanchez pero siyempre kay PM Vargas ako na kapatid ni Alfred. Kasalukuyan councilor ng QC si PM, batang kapatid ni Alfred na siya ngayon naka upo as congressman. Kung maglalaban si Arjo at PM, kay PM ang suporta ng buong household ko dahil nakita ko ang competence niya as councilor, meron na siyang experience at talagang dedicated sa kanyang trabaho. Sana sa ibang distrito na lang si Arjo para hindi sila maglaban. I think they are both deserving, pero nauna na ang pledge of support ko kay PM Vargas. Exciting fight kung sakali, may the best man win , go go. Year 2022, election year."

She also added a photo of Alfred Vargas within her post.

As early as now, some netizens are already showing their support to the "Love Lockdown" actor.

"Go Arjo! Pakita mo ang kakayanan mo"

"arjo kmi arjo kmi"

But at the same time, solid supporters of the current administration were quick to comment on the actor's alleged plan, and they are not amused.

"What? Arjo Atayde running for congressman? OMG, NO!!!!!

"Arjo just used MM for his political ambitions"

Since there is no official statement coming from Atayde, time will tell if he would really run for office at the 2022 election
