Villar Group buys Astra Zeneca vaccine for donation

The Villar Group of Companies, through AllHome Corporation, has joined government and other private companies in signing a deal to procure Covid-19 vaccines from Astra Zeneca for its employees and their families as well as for donation to the government.

AllHome was represented by its Vice Chairman Camille A. Villar during the signing ceremony held to honor the agreement among the Philippine government, local government units (LGUs), private sector donors, and AstraZeneca to secure additional doses of coronavirus vaccine.

“The Villar Group believes in protecting employees and their families. This vaccine will save not only lives but jobs and businesses as well,” said AllHome Chairman Manuel B. Villar, Jr.

He added that, “The vaccine will not only provide protection from the virus, but it will help boost consumer confidence to go out again. It is by helping each other during this time that we can start our journey to economic recovery.”

AllHome understands how the pandemic has affected Filipino families and businesses since it broke out in early 2020.

“In support of the nation’s persistent fight against Covid-19, we continue to find more ways of extending help to even more Filipinos,” said Camille Villar.

She added that, this is done through “advocating for safe shopping in-store and providing contactless shopping options to consumers, donating learning tools to aid in DepEd’s distance-learning program, and most recently, the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines for AllHome employees and the public.”

In spite of the circumstances brought by the pandemic, AllHome has capably navigated the new normal as it registered P3.47 billion sales for the third quarter of 2020, a 133 percent increase from the 2ndquarter of the same year.

Through its 2020 earnings, AllHome managed to allocate the necessary funding to make this donation possible.

Through Go Negosyo’s A Dose of Hope Program, the national government, LGUs, and the private sector were able to raise another 17 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine from British-Swedish pharmaceutical

and biopharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca.
