Just because she could achieve basically what others might have dreamed of, doesn't mean that former "Miss Saigon" Lea Salonga is full of herself, as she showers young Broadway star Eva Noblezada with compliments in a recent interview for their upcoming movie premiere "Yellow Rose."
Asked about how it feels to be working with the new "Kim" Lea generously said: "It was wonderful, I think that it was a good thing that her first shooting days was with me, it's not like she was a total stranger, I met her back when she was 17."
"She's gonna blow people in this film, she wears her heart on her sleeve, she feels things in a very very deep way as a human, just being around her, talking to her, it is very transparent.
"I think she is poised to be a major superstar, I don't know if I told her this: her life is gonna change once this film (Yellow Rose) comes out and I still believe in that." she ended.
Asked about her future plans and projects, "The Voice" coach casually said: "I' m just hoping I would like to get back to work, the last time I was anywhere near a stage was at Rachelle Ann Go's concert. Hindi naman ako mapili sa trabaho. Something with a 'live audience' in front of me."
Salonga, 49, has been doing most of her work at home, while also doing some baking every now and then.
Catch Lea Salonga, Eva Noblezada and the return of Princess Punzalan on the Philippine premiere of "Yellow Rose" on various streaming platforms starting this Jan. 29.
