Bren Esports cruises to M2 grand finals with stomp over RRQ Hoshi

Bren Esports banked on its "Tzy Brothers" to take down Indonesian powerhouse RRQ Hoshi, 3-1, in the lower bracket finals and advance to the grand finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Championship on Sunday at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. 

Star carry Karl "KarlTzy' Nepomuceno and super rookie sidelaner Charles "FlapTzy" Canon combined forces to keep the Filipino champions' hopes to win the coveted world title that comes with the $140,000 (more than P6.7 million) lion's share of the prize pool.  

The boys in black and yellow eliminated Indonesia's last hope in RRQ after kicking out Alter Ego Esports in the lower bracket semifinals on Saturday. 

Bren arranged a much-awaited rematch against Burmese Ghouls of Myanmar for the championship later at 6 p.m.The reigning MPL Philippines kings lost to their Burmese counterparts, 2-0, in their upper bracket first round match two days ago. 

Game 1 went to the MPL Indonesia winner RRQ which successfully surprised Bren with its deployment of veterans Yesaya "XINNN" Wowiling and Mohd Zulkarnain "Wizzking" Zulkifli for the win-or-go home match and successfully threw Bren off to score a 21-5 romp in just nearly 12 minutes. 

Bren almost fell to the brink of elimination if not for FlapTzy's Yu Zhong propelling their huge comeback in Game 2. 

FlapTzy picked off XINNN's Ling twice enabling the Filipino side to secure the Luminous Lord and take the equalizer in 18 minutes. 

It was KarlTzy's turn to take charge in Game 3 as his monstrous Lancelot slashed his way to a perfect record with nine kills and eight assists to fuel Bren's 19-7 rout in 12 minutes. 

FlapTzy's Baxia, tank Allan "Lusty" Castromayor's Mathilda and captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel's Selena provided ample support with a combined 32 assists while CJ "Ribo" Ribo's sidelane Hayabusa chipped in physical firepower en route to four kills and six assists against a lone death.

Smelling blood in the water, Francis "Duckeyyy" Glindro's boys charged to a strong start on the back of KarlTzy's Claude and FlapTzy's Baxia. 

RRQ tried to contest Bren's Lord take attempt in the 10th minute but Lusty's Chou found the Indonesian side's Mathilda to spark a 4-0 exchange. 

With the Lord and the unstoppable Claude of KarlTzy, Bren closed out the series with a dominant 21-10 win in 12 minutes.
