Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno's Lancelot kept the Filipino dream alive in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Championship as Bren Esports completed a 2-1 comeback win against bitter rival Alter Ego Esports of Indonesia on Saturday night at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.

KarlTzy, a SEA Games gold medal winner and the MPL Philippines MVP, carried Bren with his flawless Lancelot play in Game 2 and 3 as the Filipino champions sustained their lower bracket run in the second edition of Moonton's biggest tournament for its popular mobile MOBA game.

Coach Francis "Duckeyyy" Glindro's boys in black and yellow replicated their win over the MPL Invitational winner and kept its hopes of taking the coveted title on top of the $140,000 (more than P6.7 million) lion's share of the $300,000 (over P14.4 million) prize pool.

Bren is slated to face Indonesian champion RRQ Hoshi in the best-of-five lower bracket finals on Sunday.

With Bren looking to equalize the series after AE won the opener, KarlTzy got his signature Lancelot in Game 2 and carried the PH side out of a slow start together with CJ "Ribo" Ribo's Alice.

Bren did not let the chance slip out as it took the Luminous Lord in the 15th minute and wrap up the 16-7 win moments later.

KarlTzy slashed his way to five kills and nine assists while Ribo also came up with a perfect game with three kills and eight assists.

Interestingly, Duckeyyy drafted four Alter Ego heroes from Game 1--Lancelot, Lunox, Chou and Yu Zhong--and found similar success.

Once again, Bren secured the Lancelot for KarlTzy who utterly wreaked havoc in the deciding Game 3.

The Filipino prodigy came through with 16 big kills and six assists to propel Bren to a massive 24-6 victory in 18 minutes.

Super rookie David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon also played stellar on his Baxia, tallying 16 assists and two kills against zero deaths.
