Barbie Forteza on celebrities and social media: 'It's a win-win'
Barbie Forteza is among those who believe social media is a useful platform for celebrities particularly with the ongoing pandemic.Â
During a recent interview, she mentioned how she is making good use of it maintaining a link with fans.
And it helps her earn, too.

"It's a win-win situation. Kumbaga I get to stay relevant, updated 'yung mga supporters namin, at kahit pa-paano malaking tulong din siya ngayong pandemic financially," Barbie related.
She is careful not to share too much, though.
"Shini-share ko lang sa mga supporters ko, sa ibang tao kung ano 'yung napagkakaabalahan ko buong quarantine bilang bawal tayo lumabas, baka maka-relate sila sa mga ginagawa ko," she said.
It also helps alleviate her boredom.
"Kaysa nakahiga ka lang, nag mumukmok sa kwarto, siguro mag-TikTok ka naman once in a while," she added.
In a way, she believes social media helps fans understand celebrities more.
"Like ako, gusto kong i-share ang mga ginagawa ko 'pag 'di ako nagtatrabaho (so they would realize na) kung 'di ako artist, isa pa din akong normal na tao, anak, kapatid, girlfriend," she explained.
Barbie would probably be taking it easy with social media for a while, with her drama series "Anak Ni Waray Vs. Anak Ni Biday" now returning on the boob tube on Feb. 8.
Recall that it was put on hiatus due to the pandemic.
