2020 MMFF movies premiere on Sky Movies Pay-Per-View

Filipinos who missed the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival will get another chance to catch two of the season’s featured movies —"Suarez: The Healing Priest" and "Pakboys Takusa"— as SKY Movies Pay-Per-View offers the MMFF Bundle, starting Jan. 22 (Friday).

Recipient of the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award, "Suarez: The Healing Priest" depicts the true-to-life story of a renowned Catholic faith healer, the late Father Fernando Suarez, portrayed by critically acclaimed actor John Arcilla.

From drama, SKYcable brings viewers a dose of laughter with the comedy "Pakboys Takusa." Directed by Al Tantay, the comedy flick follows the naughty misadventures of friends John (Andrew E), Bruno (Dennis Padilla), Justine (Janno Gibbs), and Draka (Jerald Napoles) in their attempts to bring back the trust of their respective wives despite their acts of unfaithfulness.

Aside from these MMFF 2020 official entries, audiences can get their adrenaline pumping with the heart-stopping thriller "Nightshift, " also part of the movie bundle. VIVA's 2020 horror movie focuses on Jessie (Yam Concepcion), a young woman working as an assistant to a pathologist in a morgue, and how she witnesses the manifestations of the dead coming back to life.
