Raven's Io sets tempo for Fnatic's sweep of T1 in DPC-SEA upper division

Filipino 11k MMR carry Polo "Raven" Fausto shone bright on his Io as Fnatic crushed T1, 2-0, in the opening series of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC)-Southeast Asia Regional League upper division on Wednesday night.Â

Raven's full-packed Io with Aghanim's Scepter, Black King Bar, Heart of Tarrasque, Sange and Kaya, and Assault Cuirass was an unkillable force in Game 1 where Fnatic pulled off a comeback 34-30 victory in 46 minutes.Â

Raven formed a deadly duo with Malaysian midlaner Kam "Moon" Boon Seng'sÂ Monkey King and the power of the two was strongly evident when they won a 3v5 situation against T1 in the 39th minute.Â

The 22-year-old Pinoy hard carry picked up 10 kills and 18 assists against a lone death while helping Moon tally a 16-3-12 kill-death-assist record.Â

It was Thai soft support Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong who starred in Game 2 with his Enigma making multi-hero Black Hole, enabling Fnatic to emerge victorious in team fights.Â

Buffed by the Bloodlust of Filipino support Djardel "Dj" Mampusti's Ogre Magi, Raven's Wraith King dished out the damage en route to a 7-1-20 record in the 33-16 win in 42 minutes.Â

Fnatic seized the early solo lead in the upper division which stakes three spots to the Dota 2 Major tournament at the end of the first season.Â

Raven and the crew will next face PH squad Execration on January 27.Â
T1, led by Filipino pros Carlo "Kuku" Palad and Karl "Karl" Jayme, will try to bounce back against Vietnam's 496 Gaming on January 30.Â
