Pogoy, longtime girlfriend now engaged

TNT star Roger Pogoy made sure to welcome the New Year with good news as he embarks on a new chapter of his life.

Pogoy and longtime girlfriend Love Lynn Portes will soon tie the knot as the TNT sharpshooter proposed Monday night.

On Instagram, Pogoy shared a photo of them all smiles, matching the lovely vibe with the clear view of the city lights in an undisclosed restaurant in hometown Cebu.

Portes showed off her engagement ring after Pogoy's surprise proposal during a family dinner.

According to Portes' sister Instagram story, the couple has been dating for nine years and 10 months now.

"Thank you Lord! She said YES!" wrote Pogoy, accompanied with three heart emojis.

PBA stars Kevin Alas, Gabe Norwood, Robert Bolick, Mark Caguioa, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. among others extended their congratulations to the newly-engaged couple.

Pogoy, who has been in his hometown after the PBA bubble season, averaged 18.82 points, 5.64 rebounds, 2.36 games, and 1.82 steals in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup.

The 28-year-old Cebuano hotshot ranked third in the race for the Best Player of the Conference.
