KarlTzy hits first savage in Bren's rousing M2 debut over Japan's 10s Gaming Frost

Star carry Karl "KarlTzy" Nepocumeno's signature Lancelot registered the first savage in the M2 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship as Bren Esports obliterated 10s Gaming Frost of Japan, 2-0, to start its campaign on Tuesday at the Shangri-La Hotel.

KarlTzy, the undisputed MVP of the MPL Philippines Season 6, was the same monster on the world stage with his Lancelot singlehandedly wiping out 10S Gaming in the easy second game of the swift series.

With the lopsided victory, the reigning Filipino champion Bren fired a warning shot ahead of its grudge match against Alter Ego Esports of Indonesia for an assured upper bracket spot later at 6 p.m.

The black and yellow squad is seeking to exact revenge on the MPL Indonesia runner-up which swept them in the grand finals of the ONE Esports MPL Invitational.

Touted as one of the heavy contenders for the world title, Bren immediately lived up to the hype with a dominant 25-7 win in the 14-minute Game 1 behind KarlTzy's Harley and captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel's Pharsa.

KarlTzy finished with 13 kills and eight assists against a lone death while Pheww dished out magical burst damage en route to six kills and 10 assists against two deaths.

Bren was able to snag the Lancelot for KarlTzy in Game 2 and as expected, the SEA Games gold-winning carry put on a clinic.

KarlTzy cut through every 10S Gaming hero to get a savage and fuel Bren's 23-2 stomp in just nearly 12 minutes. He came through with a perfect record of 13 kills and four assists.

CJ "Ribo" Ribo's Pharsa, David "FlapTzy" Canon's Lapu-Lapu and Allan "Lusty" Castromayor's Kaja provided ample support with a combined 24 assists to go with nine kills.
