Baron Geisler returning to the big screen via 'Tililing'

Award-winning actor Baron Geisler is back on the big screen with his upcoming film, "Tililing" but his comeback didn't happen overnight.

Plagued by controversies and his past behaviour, Baron would scale between a sought-after versatile actor to this volatile character that he also possessed. But something changed him, especially last year.

Baron said: "2020 was a blessing in disguise. Naging hands on dad, naging close pa sila ng asawa ko, si Jamie mas nakilala ko rin yung sarili ko kasi dito mate-test yung character ng tao. There are a lot of character defects but na-fixed ko yung mga dapat i-fix."

With him being a husband to his wife Jamie Evangelista and a father to their child, Talitha Cumi Geisler, the actor admitted that these experiences changed him for the better.

"Feeling ko nag soften ako, di na ako maangas siguro yung angas na yan nilabas ko yan pag kailangan ng pamilya sa pagbalat ng  buto at siyempre may anak at asawa naako… ayoko na ng gulo. As much as possible na kapag may nang-hamon sa'kin diyan, eh tatakbo na lang ako, ayaw naman nating may maka-away na kaibigan diyan," he said.

As for his "bad boy" image and tendencies, Geisler stated that we won't be seeing any of that, at least off-cam, saying: "I think makikita niyo yan sa mga movies na lang saka mga teleserye but siguro…it's not even an image but, iba na si Baron, iba na yung path na tinatahak niya and of course everyone knows na I'm a father and I'm a husband and yun yung pinaka-major role ko hindi lang for the meantime, but forever."

When it comes to his reason for staying in the limelight, Geisler said: "First is because it's God given talent, so might as well use it to make people happy. I 'm here to entertain….to live simple, you don't need a lot to be happy, as long as you have a roof, food on the table, shoes, and good friends."

Geisler went on to thank the VIVA Artist Agency for the continuous trust and support that he is receiving. Co-starring with Geisler is award-winning veteran actress Gina Pareno.

Directed by Darryl Yap, "Tililing" is slated for February 2021 release.
