Brace yourselves for a more intense viewing experience as top-rating series "Magkaagaw" returns on GMA Network's Afternoon Prime beginning Monday, January 18.

Before it took a break from airing due to the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine, Magkaagaw captivated the hearts of daytime drama viewers and hooked them instantaneously.

Two of the industry’s sought after-actresses Sheryl Cruz and Sunshine Dizon reunite in the most intriguing drama harped on vengeance that will surely heat up Kapuso viewers’ afternoon anew.

The show also features the freshest team up of homegrown Kapuso talents Klea Pineda and Jeric Gonzales in their most daring roles yet.

As the widely-followed series returns on television, the cast members expressed their excitement for the audience to refresh their minds with the recap and new episodes of the program.

“Happy that they will get to watch our new episodes soon and marami pa silang dapat abangan lalo na kung paano mabubunyag na kabit talaga ni Gio si Veron,” said Sunshine.

Sheryl added, “Dapat din nilang tutukan ang mga nagbabagang pagtatagpo nina VRS at Jio pati na rin ang mga na-level up na confrontation scenes sa pagitan ng mga karakter.”

Just like the fans, Klea is looking forward to the reunion of the characters onscreen. “Sigurado ako sabik na rin silang mapanood muli sina Clarisse at Jio. Pinaghirapan namin ito ng buong cast pati na rin ng buong production team ng Magkaagaw kaya naman hindi na ako makapaghintay sa pagbabalik ng Magkaagaw sa telebisyon,” she quipped.

Meanwhile, Jeric is thankful for the opportunity to continue taping the series amid the pandemic, "Sobrang excited na ako sa pagbabalik ng Magkaagaw kasi talagang cliffhanger kung saan natapos yung kuwento before the lockdown. Itinuturing kong isang blessing na nabigyan kami ng chance para magbalik sa TV at finally, maitutuloy na namin yung kuwento ng show. Personally, hindi na rin akong makapaghintay na mapanood ng lahat yung inihanda namin.”

Driven by malevolence from a failed past love, Magkaagaw tells the story of a legal wife who eventually becomes the person she hated the most — a mistress.

A career-driven woman named Veron (Sheryl) was left by her husband Mario (Alfred Vargas) to be with another woman, Laura (Sunshine). What was supposed to be a new beginning for the two was short-lived as Veron’s revenge would lead to unfortunate circumstances.

Twenty-three years later, Laura’s daughter, Clarisse (Klea), lands a job as Veron’s assistant. As soon as the latter finds out about Clarisse and Laura’s filial relationship, she plots her revenge by engaging in a love affair with Jio (Jeric) — her protégé’s husband.

Completing the stellar cast are: Polo Ravales, Dion Ignacio, Dennis Padilla, Lovely Abella, Isay Alvarez, Patricia Tumulak, and Joanna Marie Tan. Magkaagaw also highlights the special participation of actor-politician Alfred Vargas.

This original series, created by the GMA Drama group, is headed by the SVP for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, VP for Drama Redgie A. Magno, AVP for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, Senior Program Manager Camille Hermoso-Hafezan, and Executive Producer Darling Pulido-Torres.
