Tennis champion Naomi Osaka is the new face of Louis Vuitton

Luxury brand Louis Vuitton has just named professional tennis player Naomi Osaka as the latest ambassador to the fashion house, as announced on its official social media accounts.

"Perfectly incarnating the Louis Vuitton woman, the tennis champion joins as New House Ambassador, making her debut in #NicholasGhesquiere's upcoming #LVSS21 campaign," the brand posted on Instagram.

Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere, who photographed the campaign, was quoted saying, "Naomi is an exceptional woman who represents her generation and is also a role model for everyone. Her career and convictions are inspiring."

Aside from tennis, my most treasured passion is fashion; and there is no brand more iconic than Louis Vuitton.

"Wow this is actually crazy. Honored to be @louisvuitton's newest House Ambassador," Naomi posted on social media. "Funny story: I first bought my mom an LV bag when I was 16 as a birthday present and it's kinda been a tradition since. Do I call this a full circle moment? Yes!"
