Five teams confirm participation in PVL bubble conference

Five teams have already confirmed participation in Premier Volleyball League’s Open Conference which is tentatively set April 10 at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.

PVL commissioner Tony Liao said Creamline, Choco Mucho, Petro Gazz, BanKo Perlas, and Balipure/Chef’s Classics are joining in the tournament that will be competed under a bubble-type setup.

Two teams are also eyeing to join, but nothing has been finalized at the moment.

The league has been continuously working on getting the approval from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to resume team training in time for the tournament, which will only span for a month with no audiences.

Organizers are also finalizing their broadcast deal for the upcoming season, which will be crucial since it would bring the matches straight to the audiences through different platforms.

Creamline seeks a repeat performance of its 2019 Open Conference title, while Petro Gazz and BanKo Perlas aim to eclipse their second- and third-place finishes.

The 2020 season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
