Namgoong Min, Lee Min Ho win at 2020 SBS Drama Awards

Korean actor Namgoong Min took home the “daesang,” or grand prize, while Lee Min Ho won best actor at the 2020 SBS Drama Awards held on Dec. 31.

Namgoong Min won the grand prize for his role in “Hot Stove League,” which ran from December 2019 to February 2020 on SBS. He won best actor for the role and “Hot Stove League” won best drama at the 33rd Grimae Awards and also at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Lee Min Ho won the top excellence award (actor) in the fantasy/romance miniseries category for “The King: Eternal Monarch,” which aired from April to June last year.

  • Fantasy/romance miniseries: Park Eun Bin (actress), “Do You Like Brahms?”

Excellence Awards for acting:

  • Mid and long-length drama: Bong Tae-gyu and Yoon Jong-hoon (actor), “Penthouse” and Shin Eun-kyung, “Penthouse”
  • Miniseries action drama: Ahn Hyo-seop (actor), “Dr. Romantic 2” and Lee Sung-kyung (actress), “Dr. Romantic 2”

Best Character Award: Oh Jung-se (actor), “Hot Stove League” and Choi Kang-hee (actress), “Good Casting”

Best Child Actors: Ahn Ji-ho (actor), “Nobody Knows” and Kim Hyun-soo (actress), “Penthouse”
