Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso topped the list of probable presidential bets for the 2022 national elections, according to a survey conducted by Pulse Asia Research.
In its subscriber's data, only four candidates were included in the list including Domagoso, Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, Sara "Inday" Duterte-Carpio, and Panfilo "Ping" Lacson.
Respondents were asked the question, “Of the people on this list, whom would you vote for as President of the Philippines if the May 2022 elections were held today and they were candidates?”
Domagoso was the top pick for president, with 30 percent of Filipinos expressing their support for him.
He was followed by Duterte-Carpio with 29 percent; Pacquiao with 18 percent; and Lacson with 13 percent.
In a Facebook post, Cesar Chavez, the chief of staff of Domagoso, posted the table of the Pulse Asia survey which was not among those published by the polling firm.
The non-commissioned survey was conducted during the period of Sept. 6 to 11.
Pulse Asia also released a survey data during the same period where 12 names were included in the list.
Other choices for potential presidential candidates were Sen. Grace Poe, Vice President Leni Robredo, Taguig-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano, Sen. Bong Go, former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, former Akbayan Rep. Walden Bello, and former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro.
Duterte-Carpio emerged on top of the list with 20 percent, ahead of former Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. by five points.
