YG family: iKON's Bobby now a daddy; Taeyang's wife Min Hyo-rin to give birth soon

Baby news about YG Entertainment artists Bobby of K-pop boy band iKON and Taeyang of Big Bang.

Bobby, 25, is now a father. YG Entertainment confirmed to Korean media that Bobby’s girlfriend gave birth to a baby boy.

The news came just a little over a month after Bobby announced that he was getting married and that his girlfriend was pregnant.

Last Aug. 20, Bobby announced on Instagram that “I promise to marry the person I love. Also, I will become a father in September. I am happy to have a new family. However, I am even more apologetic to the fans who were taken aback by my sudden news.”

“To all the people who have always helped and supported me, I feel a heavy responsibility because I feel like I'm putting a burden on you. I apologize with all my heart to those who are hurt or greatly confused by my story,” he added.

On the other hand, husband and wife Taeyang and actress Min Hyo-rin are expecting their first baby.

Min Hyo-rin’s agency told Korean media, "It is true that Min Hyo-rin is pregnant, and she is happily waiting for the birth. Please understand that it is difficult to answer other matters because she wants to give birth quietly."

Taeyang and Min Hyo-rin met while filming Taeyang’s music video “1AM” in 2014. They confirmed they were dating in 2015.

They got married on Feb. 3, 2018 at a church in Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province, which was officiated by actor Ki Tae Young.

Among those who attended the wedding were former 2NE1’s Dara and CL, Seungri, BLACKPINK and Tablo. The wedding reception-party was held at the Paradise City Hotel and Resort in Incheon. Following the wedding, Taeyang enlisted in the military on March 12, 2018.
