The Ateneo de Manila University has been ranked as the leading university in the Philippines when it comes to producing the most employable graduates.

According to 2022 QS World University Graduate Employability Rankings, the Ateneo continues to move up in the rank placing at 151-160, which makes it the only Philippine-university in the top 200.

In the 2020 edition of the global ranking, the Ateneo was ranked at 161-170, while it placed at 181-190 in 2019.

Three other universities in the country also made it in the global list of universities.

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) placed at 251-300 rank, while both De La Salle University (DLSU) and University of the Philippines (UP) were ranked at 301-500.

Toping the list of universities in terms of employability worldwide is the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by Stanford University and the University of California in the United States

The ranking is designed to provide students with a unique tool by which they can compare university performance in terms of graduate employability outcomes and prospects.

The Graduate Employability Rankings was conducted by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, a leading global higher education company known for publishing the QS World University Rankings.

“As the world recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of graduating with the skills and qualities required by modern employers has arguably never been greater,” the QS said in its website.

“Given the fierce competition for graduate roles around the world, students should be seriously considering how their university can prepare them adequately for full-time employment, by connecting them with global employers and ensuring they develop the necessary skills and knowledge,” it added.
