Enchanting and breathtaking indeed
It is always a magical moment whenever we see Pia Wurtzbach in a Michael Cinco couture. Who could forget that grand Swarovski-embellished royal blue ball gown she wore when she passed on her Miss Universe crown in 2016. It’s a Disney movie personified—breathtaking and awe-inspiring. It is so iconic it it has been immortalized by a wax figure of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. And in their latest collaboration, we are again under the spell by the beauty of the crowned Miss Universe 2015 and fashions crafted by the Dubai-based Filipino couturier.
Michael presents his fall-winter 2021 couture with a campaign headlined by Pia. In the photos captured by fashion photographer Lope Navo, the beauty queen looks like a forest nymph in a set that mimics the artistry of the movie “Into the Woods.” Adding to the enchantment are the designer’s works in delicate pastels. Among the pieces Pia wore is a tulle ball gown in soft yellow made more playful by thousands of feathers on the bodice. The green-nude piece is all about nature with its layered ruffles and botanical embellishments. Making her look even more ethereal is a crystal-encrusted bodysuit piece with a blanket of floral-printed fabric. Gracing the shoot as well is Pia’s beau, founder and CEO of Beautiful Destinations Jeremy Jauncey.
