Jollibee Foods Corp. is expanding the presence of its flagship Jollibee brand in Canada with the launch of a new mobile kitchen in Hamilton, Ontario, and a new store in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In a statement, Jollibee said it partnered with DoorDash, an online food ordering platform, to launch the mobile kitchen in Hamilton, Ontario.

Located at the southwest corner of the CF Lime Ridge Mall, the movable restaurant offers world-famous Jollibee dishes exclusively through online ordering.

The 15-meter traveling kitchen allows Jollibee to expand its presence in both existing and new markets, without the traditional overhead costs of opening a brick-and-mortar store.

The mobile kitchen offers a limited menu of Jollibee like the original or spicy fried chicken, spaghetti, and pie. Customers in Hamilton have three ways to order from the mobile kitchen—the jollibeefoods.com website, the Jollibee app, and via DoorDash app.

“As we continue to expand our store network across Canada, the mobile kitchen provides the ideal platform to serve our customers in a more flexible and far-reaching capacity, especially in communities where we don’t have a physical store location yet,” said JFC North America, Philippine Brands President Maribeth Dela Cruz.

She added that, “DoorDash has been an indispensable business partner throughout this process, enabling us to optimize its seamless ordering and helping us to access new customers, and we are thrilled to be able to extend our signature ‘joy of eating’ through the power of this innovative partnership.”

Jollibee has also opened its third location in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The new store, located at 1130 Nairn Avenue in Winnipeg’s Regent area, marks Jollibee’s premier store on the Capital City’s east side and joins the brand’s two existing west-side locations.

This store opening marks the brand’s 18th store in Canada and is part of the Jollibee Group’s aggressive expansion plan in North America to have 500 stores in the next five to seven years.

“With both of our existing locations situated on the city’s west side, we are very happy to finally be able to extend our signature ‘joy of eating’ to those who call Winnipeg’s east side home,” Dela Cruz said.

She noted that, “The city’s close-knit Filipino community has especially embraced our brand since day-one, and we are excited to provide another convenient location for both our fans and newcomers who crave a delicious quick service option that they truly can’t get anywhere else.”

The new Jollibee restaurant features a drive-thru option for customers who want their Jollibee on-the-go aside from indoor dining.

The restaurant also offers different online ordering channels such as Jollibee’s new ordering app; the jollibeecanada.com website; and the DoorDash delivery platform, on top of call-in and pick-up.
