Mayor Sara Duterte to take medical leave anew

DAVAO CITY – Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio announced on Monday, September 20, that she would be momentarily leaving the country soon.

Mayor Sara said during her program over Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR 87.5) that she would be taking some days' leave for medical purposes.

"Yes, I have a schedule for October (and) April. I already filed a leave application form (from the office) for medical purposes," Mayor Sara said.

Mayor Sara, however, did not disclose her current health condition yet or the specific medical reasons behind her said break.

The city mayor also remains mum when asked about the specific date of her break. She only said that she would be out of the country next month.

She did not mention whether her younger brother Sebastian will assume the duties and responsibilities while on medical leave.
