Drilon asks tax records of three Pharmally execs driving Porsches, Lamborghini
Senate Minority Leader Franklin M. Drilon has asked for the tax records of three top officials of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation that had bagged contracts worth more than P11 billion in COVID 19-related medical supplies from the Procurement Service-Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM).
Drilon made the requests after Senator Richard J. Gordon, chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon committee, revealed in last week’s committee hearing that the three officials have expensive luxury cars.
He wanted to know whether the three – Linconn Ong, Mohit Dargani and Twinkle Dargani- have paid the correct taxes and if they have the capability to buy the cars that have a total value of P60 million.
These vehicles were Porsches, a Lamborghini and a Lexus.
Drilon recalled that Pharmally declared that it had no income in 2019 and that its paid up capital of the firm was P625,000.
Pharmally reportedly earned almost P400 million in 2020.
The Gordon committee resumes tomorrow (September 21) its hybrid hearing on the controversial ‘’overpriced’’ PS-DBM negotiated contracts.
Drilon maintained that there was ‘’premeditated plunder’’ at PS-DBM which used the P42 billion COVID-19 response funds of the Department of Health (DOH) in buying the medical supplies.
President Duterte insisted that there was no overpricing.
